Short break on the Sunshine Coast of Australia

Here are a few photo's from our short break on the Sunshine Coast.
We stayed at The Waves in Maroochydore
This was the view from the balcony over looking the Maroochy River.
Early morning sunrise over Maroochy River.  I love the reflections on the water in this photo and I would never get sick of this view! Ah, the serenity!
We went four wheel driving along Teewah Beach.
I just got a glimpse of the camel riders before they took off for a ride along the beach.
The highway here is forty miles of road along the shore. The road is speed limited to 40, 60 and 80 kilometres an hour. The road ends at Rainbow Beach.

One morning was spent at the Eumandi Markets.  This must be the biggest market I've ever been to!

We visited a small town called Montrose with lots of unusual shops and beautiful tree lined streets.

We went on the Catalina, Noosa cruise boat along the Noosa River.  There was a Jazz band playing while we were cruising along, drinking and dancing. OK, now I know I'll dance to anything. Now I'm back to reality in cold, windy Melbourne today.
Looking forward to retiring, becoming a grey nomad and moving to the warmer climate during winter. lol

I LOVE that sunrise pic too...the colours and reflections are magnificent. It looks like you had a great time away, Anna! My future son-in-law's Mum has a stall at the Eumundi Markets....she makes delicious cakes and sells them there.

I WANT those lanterns...they're gorgeous!

We've had some cold, bleak days here in Brissie this past week although it's probably mild by Melbourne standards. lol

Oh Anna - what wintery weather you've come home to! Today it was like ten force winds! I love your photos and so happy you had a great break! I really love the sunrise photo - and the last one actually brought happy tears to my eyes - seeing the mum's happily dancing with their young daughters in the background!

Hugs! Vikki xo

I used to live on the sunshine coast and holiday there once every year now, its a lovely place.

I've never been to a place called Montrose on the coast, but it looks a lot like Montville, one of my favourite places ever.
